Product description

Lanterns and tea light houses are THE companions through the dark season and a beautiful gift, not only for manor house fans!

The handmade raku light house was lovingly designed according to the historical model of an old manor house. When looking at this wonderful raku light house with its cute details, it is not difficult to imagine the hustle and bustle in the front yard. Who wouldn't want to slip into that time for a moment? The lantern has been carefully crafted with numerous windows carved out, which shine with a homely light when illuminated.

The tealight house was fired using the old and not entirely harmless raku technique. The ceramics are lifted out of the kiln at approx. 1000 °C with long iron tongs. Yellow-hot as they are, they are placed in beech wood chips and ignite them immediately. The process that is now initiated can no longer be controlled and the chance of the fire creates unique one-of-a-kind pieces. The fire has left an enchanting black craquelé on the lantern - the unmistakable sign of Raku.

For the illumination of the handmade Raku lantern, we recommend the use of beeswax tea lights.

The handmade festive decoration weighs approx. 650 g. It is approx. 11 cm high, 9 cm deep and 22 cm long. It offers space for three tea lights.
