Product description

The discovery of cuteness! This pair of handmade Raku bowls breaks with commercial conventions and, despite its small size, stylishly preserves treasures. A revolutionary idea may have been incorporated in the creation. This gave her the inspiration to create these timeless and elegant decorative bowls. They are made of durable raku clay and have a concave shape on the inside. The refinement took place in the raku glaze firing and breathed life into the angular pair.

On the azure blue surface, one black crack follows the next, like lifelines the veins stretch across the surface. This unique piece was created with the old and dangerous Japanese Raku technique. The yellow-glowing ceramics are taken out of the kiln at over 1000 degrees Celsius and placed in beech wood chips. These ignite immediately and the resulting soot colours everything in a silky black.

These stylish blue Raku bowls are wonderfully suited as jewellery bowls and are a decorative eye-catcher in your home even without contents. As "Vide Poche" storage it offers a place on the sideboard for the contents of our bags! Keys, cosmetics and small change find a refined place in the handmade bowl!

The Raku bowls are made as a pair and impress with their low weight of only 100 g. They have an edge length of about 6 cm. Due to the raku technique the pottery still smells of soot and fire. However, this smell disappears relatively quickly.

The jewellery is not part of the offer.
