Born out of fire - the ancient Japanese raku technique something very special. It is less common in Europe because of the demanding execution and the danger. In raku, the ceramics, which are heated to over 1000 degrees Celsius, are taken from the kiln, yellow-hot, and placed in beechwood chips. The immense temperatures of the ceramics ignite them immediately and lead to a smouldering fire. In this, all unglazed areas are dyed silky black and the craquelé pattern characteristic of raku becomes visible.

Suitable for classic stick candles with a diameter of up to 2 cm. Matching handmade beeswax candles are also available from us! The weight is not 900 kg and gives a visible lightness. The candlestick is approx. 26.5 cm long, approx. 16.5 cm wide and approx. 4.5 cm high. It did not tolerate the immense temperature differences during raku firing very well and sounds a bit dull.
