Symmetry meets nature - a delightful treat for the senses!
In Japan's soul everything revolves around straightforwardness and structure, but in harmony with nature. This has also led to the creation of its own tea culture and various tea utensils. The source of stringency is an inspiration and serves as a model for this tea bowl. Following the Japanese philosophy, the tea bowl was lovingly formed with the hands and given this clean shape. On the outside, organic structures are found as a contrast to the clear form. The symmetrical lines, which almost completely encircle the outside, seem like living fabric. As a tribute to nature, a strip was left unglazed. The organic structure of the clay comes to the fore here and takes us on a voyage of discovery. The leather-colored clay of the tea bowl is deliberately visible in its entirety on the underside and offers a beautiful contrast to the glaze.

The used glaze is a haptic as well as sensual experience. The side matt surface of the tea bowl invites curious fingers to touch. Here too, symmetry has its place and makes the heart of tea lovers beat faster.

It weighs 220 g when empty and has a filling volume of approx. 250 mL. It is about 8 cm high and is about 9 cm wide at the upper edge. Typically Japanese, the tea bowl was banned at more than 1250 °C. These high temperatures cause the clay to sinter by itself, making the tea bowl absolutely waterproof. The tea bowl is also suitable for the dishwasher and microwave.
