Handmade Beeswax Candles - Table Candles

Hand-poured beeswax candles are something special and have numerous advantages over conventional paraffin candles. They do not only belong on the table at Christmas, because the pleasant smell of honey is a celebration every day.

Due to the high melting point of the beeswax, the candle burns particularly slowly and at the same time very brightly. Due to these unique properties, the candles spread a warm light - almost like the sun's rays. Likewise, when beeswax burns, negative ions are created which can bind suspended matter from the air to themselves and in this way purify the air.

Our hand-poured beeswax candles are about 200 mm high and have a diameter of about 23 mm at the base.

 

A beeswax candle is a living light and must be cared for accordingly.

• let the candle burn only under supervision
• protect the candle from draughts, this prevents sooting, dripping and burning on one side only
• do not burn the candle near curtains or other flammable materials
• for candles, choose coasters and candle holders made of solid, non-flammable material
• when using several candles, make sure they are at least 15 cm apart
• the candle should burn each time at least until the whole burning plate has become liquid. Repeated short burning may cause the wick to become too short or the candle to burn hollow. The wick length should be 1-1.5 cm. If necessary, shorten the wick with candle scissors to avoid soot
• remove match remains, wick residues and other impurities from the burning plate of the candle and keep it clean
• in case of uneven burning, the edges should be kneaded evenly inwards or cut off with scissors after the candle has been extinguished and the wax has cooled down
• to extinguish the candle, dip the wick into the liquid wax with the help of a heat-resistant object and stand it up again
