cute handpainted lantern Rapunzel tower

Lanterns against the housing shortage in your own garden! Our little helpers also need a cosy home to feel good in. We have addressed this problem and designed a Rapunzel tower as a colourful lantern.

The tower and the roof of the gnome house are turned by hand on the potter's wheel and have been decorated with loving details in leather-hard condition. The tower of the handmade fairy house was decorated with a door and several windows, so that the interior looks airy! The outside is decorated with stones and view holes in different sizes. A handle was added to the roof of the fairy house. This way it can be easily removed and gives a view into the inside of the lantern. This is kept very large and offers enough space to place a large pillar candle next to tea lights. From the outside, thanks to the many windows, it looks as if the gnomes are at home in their gnome house - absolutely cosy!

The facade of the house was painted by hand. For this purpose colour bodies (no glazes) were applied. These can only be applied with a very steady hand and take time. The result is that the colours look more natural and can be mixed! In this way a flowing transition can be created on the stones. To protect the colours, a transparent glaze was applied and the Imperial House was fired again.

The handmade lantern is about 23 cm high and weighs about 1.2 kg. The roof has a diameter of 18 cm and the tower of the Imperial House has a diameter of 12 cm. The handmade Gnome House is made of earthenware and must be stored in a dry place in winter.
